What child wouldn’t find the title entertaining? You just have to
love the words “googley woogley,” don’t you?
THE HEROES OF GOOGLEY WOOGLEY flows nicely from
Dalton’s previous book, THE SNEAKIEST PIRATES. The end of
the pirate story has Pete and his father James going off to
become rock stars. THE HEROES OF GOOGLEY WOOGLEY
begins with the reader meeting Rock Star Pete and Rock Star
James.
The two have gathered a lot of money as rock stars and have
decided they want to now become astronauts. So now they
have become Spaceboy Pete and Spaceman James. The two
have intercepted a message and are off to help the people of
Googley Woogley. The planet of Googley Woogley contains the
Soodos and the SooDonts.
Using imaginative drawings, Dalton tells a simple story of good
and bad. The SooDonts have stolen from the Soodos.
Spaceboy Pete and Spaceman James decide to help the
Soodos get everything back. Using creative thinking, the two
astronauts come up with a plan of attack.
For his young age, Dalton James has managed to accomplish
what older authors have only dreamed about…publishing a
book. And this is his second one so far! The story of space and
aliens will definitely appeal to all the young boys out there that
dream of space!
