I have lived in Alaska for the past 20 years. I raised six children, have 14 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, and a new great-grandchild on the way. I am well up in the senior-citizen category, but not retired. I have an income tax preparation service that is seasonal, and sell books on the Internet year-round. At one time I owned a book store, and still have around 40,000 used books. I have written non-fiction mostly for newspaper publication. My main hobby now is reading and reviewing books and interviewing writers. I write a bi-monthly children's book column for MyShelf.com, and recently started reviewing for TeensReadToo. I do read and review all kinds of books except SciFi, romance, and religion, but specialize in children's books, history, historical fiction, biographies and most non-fiction.
