Hi! I am a fifth-grade teacher in Orange County, California. I am a single mom of two grown girls who are both readers just like me. My oldest daughter, Cameron, is 22 and is training to be in public relations. My youngest daughter, Taylor, who is 18 graduated from high school last year and is spending a year in Ghana, West Africa as an exchange student. She has been gone for almost five months and will not be back until July of 2007. I miss her a lot. I am a dog mom for two brown dogs. Molly is a long haired chihuahua and Parker we believe is part chihuahua and part fox terrier. They love when I read because that means they can curl up in my lap and be with me. My house has been described as a library. I have 10 filled bookcases and two at school which are double filled there too. I love to read! I am a member of a book club but my favorite thing to read is YA books. I also love my students! This year I have 35 wonderful fifth-graders. I also like to knit, cross stitch, crochet, be on stage, and hanging out with my friends, young and old. I am also involved with my church. I feel that I am a pretty well rounded person. My favorite TV show right now is Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, but I also watch Buffy on DVD, The West Wing on DVD, current and past episodes of The Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars, and I love watching romantic comedies on DVD. I can't wait for the fifth Harry Potter movie and am on pins and needles for the seventh Harry Potter book, hopefully it will come out this summer!
